Gregory Cioffi is a novelist, poet, short-story writer, filmmaker, actor, and English professor whose work moves comfortably between history, drama, suspense, and social commentary.

His debut novel, The Devil in the Diamond, is a World War II story about an American soldier and a Japanese prisoner who discover a shared love of baseball amid the Battle of Okinawa. Blending historical detail with an emotional, character-driven story, the novel explores friendship, prejudice, survival, and the common ground people can find even during wartime.

Gregory is also the author of the poetry collection Poetic Anarchy, which takes a direct, often provocative look at politics, society, identity, and modern life. His short fiction has appeared in several literary publications, including Mystery Weekly Magazine, The Feral Press, and Blood Moon Rising Magazine. In June 2026, he became the Poet Laureate of Nassau Country, New York.
